RWPGM Visit 10th November 2011
On 10 November 2011 RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers headed a Deputation into Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No.1408. After being welcomed by RWM Bro. James Reid, RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers assisted by DPGM Bro. Robert Little, presented 50 year diplomas to Bros. John Montgomery and Andrew Hamilton.
On 10 November 2011 RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers presented a certificate to RWPGM Bro. James Reid to confirm his completion of the PGLA Passport.
History at the Mother lodge
On Tuesday 22 November 2011 there took place an historic Degree at The Mother Lodge of Scotland. Mr John Stewart Rennie was Initiated into the Craft at the hands of the RWM of Lodge Mother Kilwinning, Brother John Duncan; the RWPGM of Kilwinning, Brother David C. Bloomfield and the RWPGM of Ayrshire, Brother Archibald Chalmers. Prior to 1983 the duties of the three aforementioned Brethren would all have been fulfilled by one brother. Lodge Thistle 127
RWM assisted by several brothers attended Lodge Thistle No.127 as they held their Annual Installation on 23 December 2011. Right Worshipful Master Brother Roderick Murray and his Office-bearers were installed in to office by Bro. William Robb PM No.127, Bro. Elijah Beattie PM No.127 and Bro. Robert Murray PM Lodge Larchgrove No.1518. The Provincial Grand Lodge Deputation was headed by SPGM Bro. Drew Rankine.
Lodge St Maurs Kilmaurs 1398
On Friday 2 December 2011 RWM Jim Reid Supported by many Dunlop Caledonia brethern visited St Maurs Kilmaurs and witnessed the Installation of Brother James E. Kurth as RWM of Lodge St Maurs No.1398 along with his Office-bearers. They were installed by installed in to office by Brothers James Fulton, James Gray and William Dean all Past Masters of 1398. A most enjoyable evening was had by all present.Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master attend also.
50 year diploma
On Thursday 9th of February Provincial Grand Master and a deputation from the Grand Lodge of Ayrshire were welcomed into the lodge to present a 50 year diploma to Jimmy “ginger” Robertson.
On Thursday 28th of March 2013 Elijah Beattie,PM of Lodge Thistle gave a notable and sterling lecture on the third degree to the Dunlop brethren and visitors. A well thought out and researched lecture was acknowledged by brethren.
On Thursday the 11th of April Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro. William Steel accompanied by PGLA Jeweller Bro. William Grant, PGLA Inner Guard Bro. David Murray and a large deputation from the Provincial Grand lodge and presented Lodge Dunlop Caledonia 1408 with a clear minute. RWM Hugh Gilbert PM congratulated Secretary Bro Donald M Eckersley PM and Treasurer Bro John C Taylor PM on an excellent job over the last year.
Lodge Union and Crown 307 Past Master Johnny Gauld became Lodge Dunlop Caledonia 1408′s newest affiliate member on October 10th 2013
A large number of Lodge Union and Crown brethren made the evening a most enjoyable occasion.

Joint Divine Service
Dunlop Caledonia were the hosts of the joint divine service on Sunday 20th October, A substantial amount of brethren from our sister lodges Thistle and St Maurs Kilmaurs and visiting brethren joined with us to listen to the thoughts of Minister Rev. Dr. David Donaldson.RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and a large delegation from the Provincial grand Lodge of Ayrshire were among those gathered to worship.
Barr Castle Lecture
After the regular meeting on Thursday 24th October 2013 Pm Tom Murray from Lodge St Peter 331 gave an informative , enlightening and enriching lecture on the historical building The Barr Castle ( Lockharts Tower). Visitors included RWPGM Bro. Robert Little and a large delegation from the Provincial grand Lodge of Ayrshire who were treated to detailed lecture which included visits from George Wishart in 1545, and John Knox in 1556

Remembrance Sunday 2013
Dunlop Caledonia were represented at the Remembrance Sunday service by RWM Hugh Gilbert and members of the lodge and at the wreath laying ceremony at the War memorial on 10th of November
On 10 April, RWPGM Robert Little headed a Deputation from PGLA into Lodge Dunlop Caledonia No. 1408, where the Deputation was welcomed by RWM Bro. Matthew Brown. On completion of the business, SPGM Bro. Stephen McConnachie conducted the Annual PGLA Visitation to Lodge Dunlop Caledonia who were granted a clear minute, thereafter RWPGM Bro. Robert Little presented a 50 year Jubilee Diploma to Bro. Robert Hart.
Bro James Laing was formally affiliated into the Lodge on Thursday 25th September 2014 Bro. Robert Hart gave the Obligation
Once again A large number of Lodge Union and Crown brethren made the evening a most enjoyable occasion.
Remembrance Sunday 2014
Dunlop Caledonia were once again represented at the Remembrance Sunday service by RWM Matthew Brown and members of the lodge at the wreath laying ceremony at the War memorial on 9th of November
Thistle 127 visit
September 24th saw our sister lodge visit and confer a Fellow Craft degree on volunteer for the night “Tuc” David MacDonald from Irvine St Andrew 149. An excellent degree was witnessed and a time of harmony was enjoyed by the brethren after the meeting.
During the harmony, RWM Jonny Gauld gave his musings which consisted of comments on various Lodges all over Scotland.
